Rabbi Esther Azar LMSW is a trauma researcher and healer working to develop trauma-informed anti-racist practice for the world. Her many years as a teacher, play therapist and coach inform her new endeavor, Trauma-Informed Rabbinics where she is exploring the intersection of trauma healing and religion. In addition Esther is a master educator who has taught and developed curricula for multiple institutions in the Jewish world including Temple Emanuel's Streicker Center, Romemu and Shaare Zedek in NYC. She uses skills developed through her study of conflict resolution and restorative justice  as ways to transform and heal communities. She is  a published writer, visual artist, speaker, coach and mother of two amazing children.

Esther lives and works on the traditional lands of the Lenni-Lenape peoples.
